Great practice!

This office is absolutely amazing. I was a student at UCF and completely unhappy with the Health Services offered there. I called the University Family Medicine Center to make an appointment as a new patient. I immediately had an appointment for the next day. The entire staff was friendly, professional and understanding. Every time I have had to make a same-day appointment, they have always managed to fit me in (although, I've seen a number of different nurse practitioners). The majority of the staff are in fact NP and not doctors but it doesn't bother me. It's the same level of care. If you're the kind of patient who likes seeing the same doctor every time you go in, you may not like it. I've seen 3 or 4 since I started going 2 years ago. But they have all been educated on my medical history and I've never felt uncomfortable or awkward with them. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a doctor's office! And ladies, they offer women's services as well!

Surprised

I used to love this office. I was shocked to see bad comments about the staff. I will still say there are some very sweet people working there and they seem to always have appointments available (not sure if that is a good thing in hindsight) but they have great hours too.

I had a similar issue as someone previous where I had received an unexpected bill (even after paying my co-pay in the office). They had mailed it to an old address because they didn't know I moved and by the time I got it they had ""disengaged me from the practice"" even though I paid it the minute I had gotten it.

I tried to call to explain the situation and I was so surprised and how I was treated. I completely understand why they wouldn't take me back, as that is just their policy, but the billing office was completely rude and sarcastic and yelled at me even though I was being calm and understanding that they did not have to even listen to the story.

I am shocked they would treat anyone like that who was not being rude or anything to them.

I have a number of family members who go to this practice...not anymore...

Find a medical center that cares and leave this one along!

Absolutely one of the most terrible dr.'s offices I have visited. Due to not having medical insurance I am only seen by nurse practicioners who are unfamiliar with my medical issues. They gave me the wrong antibiotic which was inaffective and when asked for a different perscription, they refused.hey told me I can come in and be seen again by a nurse practicioner and pay again. I had a very serious case of food poisining and my infection has continued to worsen do to their negligence. They also did not return a phone call pertaining to getting a new antibiotic.or being seen in the office. Another case of Dr's just wanting to make money. My advice is to find a Dr. who cares about doing a good job.

Great Service!!!

I recently referred my friend to this office and he loved it! A man has to be pretty sick to want to go to the doctor! He couldn't stop talking about how quickly he was able to get an appointment and the great service from the time he checked in til he checked out!

Awesome Office

My medical history is extensive and I have meet and interacted with many medical offices! This office, by far, has the most efficient, kind, and proactive staff and is the best doctors office I have ever been to. I have been a patient here for about ten yours now and I refuse to leave. I live all the way on the other side of town and I refuse to change doctors because I don't have to wait more than a few hours to be seen . I have had several medically emergencies and mysteries and I honestly believe that if it where not for the proficient doctors and caring staff at University Family Center; I would not be as healthy as I am today!!

Great Office!!!

Awesome office! Even though I felt horrible, I was greeted with smiles at the door. I was coughing so hard different staff from the front desk offered me water. It's the little things that count. When I saw the doctor I was told that i had sinus infection. I was also reminded that I was due for my check up. I love this office!

More than willing to work with me and they took great care

I had a rough beginning to this year and this office was fantastic in working with my lack of cash flow. My insurance denied all of my claims after I lost my job and I owed about $500 to the office. When I called the ""billing manager"" she understood and told me I could make payments every two weeks until I had my finances together. In the mean time I needed my hypertension meds and I had no prescription coverage. As long as I came in they would help me out with samples and coupons. The staff there are great and I can't believe there are as many negative reviews for them. They care a lot more than most of these offices or walk ins I've been to. Thanks!!

Not what it used to be.

I've been a patient here for about 9 years. Recently I have had consecutive communication issues with this office. I was told to come in to be ""Seen"" before authorization could be made on a Rx i've been on for about 2 years. That is understandable. However, I am STILL having to call for authorization on the same prescription and have yet to hear back from someone to tell me the reason. (I was told I would be called back and ever AFTER calling the message center which was DURING regular office hours, have heard nothing. Office hours are until 9pm today yet, the call was forwarded the 3 times I tried to contact the Office. I did what I was told, spent $ I couldn't spare just to be in the same position I was in before going in for my appointment. No idea what to make of this place lately.

Dropped from Patient list for $60

They had been caring for my family for more than 5 years. Before they collected the co-pay right after the appointment, but recently they started to bill us. I will always slettle my account promptly upon my next follow-appointment. My wife just called to have another follow up appointment done. Just to be told that they will no longer be my primary care Dr's because I did not payed my last visits co-pay. I guess after draining blue cross and blue shield for 5 years out of 10s of thousands of dollars, they are in serious need of $60.00. With this group money is king! and patient is number 2. For $60.00 they put my families health second, is not like they did not get paid anything the insurance was paying them thousands of dollars for my care. As of now I had been without my high blood pressure meds for 1 week waiting for my first appointment with a new family doctor. Is sad how quick they forget the Hippocratic Oath.

Be carefull if you think that you have a enough patients, reform is just arround the corner.

Great Doc's/NP's and Friendly staff!!

I have no idea what any of the neg people are saying I've had nothing but great service from these guys!! There is a very friendly gentleman up front, and the MA's are delightful as well. I was sick with Bronchitis and Dr Raley cured me within a week. Same day appointments and Saturdays are always available when i call. Don't listen to these negative idiots, these guys are class!!

Beware: Not an isolated incident

Extremely rude staff. I was not seen by this doctor, I was seen by an NP, who was very nice. I had read reviews prior to making an appointment and was hesitant because of the reviews regarding billing. I figured it must have been an isolated incident and went ahead with the appointment. Unfortunately it is clear this was not an isolated incident this office is very manipulative and will wrongfully bill you so that your insurance won't pay for their services and you will be requested to pay the clinic out of pocket. They will make false claims regarding coding of treatment and refuse to address those mistakes. The office staff is very rude to their patients. They will hang up on them and refuse to address patient concerns. When asked to see my records they refused and then requested I pay additional fees just to look at my records. They also refused to address my concerns in private and forced me to address them at the window in the waiting area, which was not only inappropriate but also a violation of privacy. The incorrect coding unfortunately comes down to your word against theirs, and you will be expected to pay them for services that were not requested

Poor Customer Service

I have been a customer for over 8 years and have had no problems, loved their nurse practitioners. Within the last year I have been treated rudely. They confronted me today for 5.87 late fees that exceed the 5.00 copay for labs and added to the confrontations with problems they had with my ex husband and treated me with sarcasim and disdain. I am very dissatisfied and will be looking for another provider. I am very disappointed. I may loose 5.87 to late fees, they lost four customers myself and my three daughters. What a trade.

Great staff!!

My husband and I have been seeing the docs and PA's here for about 10 years, and find them very friendly and helpful. They have evening and weekend hours, which is awesome, if you call first thing they can usually get you in same day. My only con is speed for calling in prescriptions, I had an allergic reaction to a med right before X-mas, and they were great about getting back to me (on a Saturday, no less) about my reaction, but it took until the following THURSDAY to get them to call a new script in for me. I could have driven to the office and picked it up had I know it would take that long! Other than that, no complaints!

Caring poeple, knowlegdeable staff,

I have been going here for the past 12 years and the doctors are very caring people. The front personnel come and go and are not trained to handle medical issues, they are there to take appointments and handle insurance papers. If they can't take care of the problem they refer to the right doctors. This is a true Family practice.

They will steal your money.

The Doctors do their job but beware, this place will add hidden charges that can add up to over $100 your insurance will refuse to cover. It is unethical but completely legal (as seen on 20/20). Why go to a place that will scam people?

BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Please do not go to this place. They write their own reviews on this site. Not only do they misdiagnose or wont diagnose you, they will force you to pay for things they already refunded. I went to three other doctor for second opinion and they told me that this place had no idea what it was talking about. If you dont want to deal with poor staff that have no conception of customer service, DO NOT go here. This is a very conservative facility that are judgmental about your medical history. Spare yourself the time and effort and find some real doctors who aren't just DO or Nurse Practitioners. With the exception of the receptionists working up front everyone, this place has bad service from up to down.

Staff leaves alot to be desired!

I have been going to UFMC for the past 11 years. However, it has been a rocky road with customer service and professionalism. In the past I have spoken to the office manager only to get the same response as I received from the staff. However, I continued to go because I didn't want to look for another primary care physician. Unfortunately, this week was the last straw. I was mistreated by T****** the referral coordinator. I called because I have been in pain for a month and need to speak with the NP available. She was very rude and stated that she wasn?t available. I asked to speak with my PCP. She then reamed me about how I should be appreciative that she took my call and that she referred me to other doctors in the past. I Understood that she didn't care that I was in pain and needed to speak to my doctor. I gave up and decided to call and leave a message for the office manager. Hopefully, after all these years she will actually be professional and deal with the situation.

Friendly staff!!

I've never had anything but positive results from UFMC. The NP who handles myself and my mom is just wonderful. In fact, she's the only one who has helped my mom get her diabetes under control. Every other Dr. would put her on meds and just increase dosage, no research into diet or bloodwork. The NP always has a smile on her face and is completely understanding. The staff is helpful and courteous.

Horrible service, Lied to, & Hung up on

I advised my PCP my massage therapist said calf was torn. The NP told me it was a varicose vein & that ""if it was a torn muscle, you wouldn't be walking"". I stated that I had read somewhere that exercise helps varicose veins heal & the NP stated that it makes them worse. The NP ordered an ultrasound. I asked if I could exercise & the NP said YES. When I called about the results, they told me to wait longer. Just short of 2 weeks later & still no results, I finally followed up after my call. Result = no varicose vein. When I asked what it was, they said they would have to call me back. I advised them to call on Tuesday. Tues = no call. I called Wed morn & asked for the office mgr. They took a message & said the OM would call back. Around lunchtime I followed up. They put someone on the phone, but not the OM. I stated that I never got my promised call on Tues. I inquired on why I can?t find out what is wrong w/ my leg & they replied that I would have to see a ?doctor? for that. Am I missing something??? They offered me a referral & I stated I wanted to find my doctor of choice & I would call back Thurs. I called first thing Thurs to talk to the referral specialist & they told me she comes in at 9. I called at 9:17am she wasn't in, so they took the doctor info and advised me that they have to give the info to the ins-co & the ins-co would contact the specialist & wait ~2hrs. I called the specialist 4 times & they still don't have my referral. I call the PCP again & they advised me that the referral specialist is out. I inform them that I do not want to lose the Monday slot w/ the other doctor & to please have someone else call in the referral. They say no & in the end, hung up on me. Would you be frustrated if you were getting this runaround? Here I am at 3pm on Thurs & I still don't have my referral & I was made another promise for tomo. Would you trust them to keep their word? What happens if I get reinjured during this time the NP said I could keep exercising?
