I stumbled across Salon121 Buckhead through Groupon for the Keratin service. My stylist, Ashley did a great job with straightening my naturally curly hair by using the hot comb to straighten my edges and the flat iron to go over my hair. I was also very satisfied with the body wrap with curls that were placed in my hair which lasted for a week. Indya, the owner, is very down to earth and customer service oriented. Ashley is also someone with whom I have great conversations. On my last visit, she gave me a deal with the shampoo, trim, and style package which I was very pleased with the price. I definitely recommend this salon to those who are looking for down to earth, friendly people.

Sorry if my review is long, but if you read nothing else just know that I stumbled upon Salon 121 totally by accident last week, and was extremely glad I did!

I actually went there looking for a salon that had previously existed at the same location. As I explained my situation to the current salon manager, she promptly informed me that I would be welcomed at Salon 121 as a walk-in and introduced me to the owner, Indya. I was greeted with smiles from everyone. Every member of the salon family is warm and friendly, the salon has a beautiful design, it was clean and just an overall pleasant atmosphere.

Indya's professionalism and and customer service standards far exceed any salon that I have ever visited. I explained to her that I was new to Atlanta, had moved here a week ago for a new job and wanted my hair pressed. She gave me a thorough consultation and helped me to meet my hair needs without surpassing my budget. I received a wash, deep-conditioning treatment, steam-treatment, (a veeerrrry careful detangling) blow-dry , press and cut. Ashley, my stylist for the day, can work a hot comb and a flat iron like a pro and gave me very clean and symmetric layers. When I left my hair was well moisturized and full of body.

I was taken care of from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left and I felt very confident and professional during my first week of my new job with such fabulous hair. I will definitely return!

A fantastic experience. I recently had a Keratin treatment on my hair was was very pleased with the results. The entire salon experience could not have been better, a relaxing nice environment, friendly service and uplifting inspirational music that made my day...I will definitely be back!

These 5 Stars are well deserved!! I had severe hair damage with extremley dry hair. I was referred to Indya by a co-worker. She made me feel both comfortable and welcomed when I arrived. We spoke abt the condition of my hair and the process it would take to get it back healthy. I usually dont like the style of my hair when i go to a new stylist, but Indya did a GREAT job. I LOVE IT!! I have found my new stylist! The shop is so cute and the staff is so friendly. She plays the best music, you forget you arent at home. I kept wanting to get up and dance. LOL I am mad it took me so long to find her.

Salon 121 has changed my life. I walked in Salon 121 on April 23rd 2012 frustrated with my hair and in dire need of a new look. I look around the salon and immediately knew I was in the right place. Everyone who walked out of that salon had fabulous hair. Owner Indya Lowe took control of my situation and took the time to talk to me and listen intently to find out what my vision for my hair was. I decided to get a full head sew in. It had been a long time since I had a sew in and my prior experience with another stylist at another salon wasnt a positive one. So basically Indya had her work cut out as far as gaining my trust. Something about her put me at ease in minutes and I havent looked back. She has given me my swagger back. People stop me all day about how good my hair looks. I'm even getting more sleep now because I dont have to get up in the morning and fight with my hair. She is worth every penny and more and I would never let anyone else touch my hair. My only regret is not finding Salon 121 sooner.

Immediately upon entering Salon121 Buckhead, you are immersed within an upscale, relaxing ambiance, and you are immediately drawn in by the friendliness of the professional staff. Styles are trendy, yet individualized. Great care is given to your hair and personal comfort. I've searched for a long time for such a salon as this. Simply put, Indya is the best!

I have had many Keratin straightnings before but my latest one at Salon121 was indeed the best!! Why? Let me tell you why? First of all I have very adament curls and longest straightning stand for me has been a day(irrespective of the cost and efforts :( ). But at Salon121 It has been 2 weeks now and still the hair is as beautiful as it was when my stylist just finished with it. And she also recommended very good product to maintain it. And what can i say about the friendly environment. I would definetely go back there!! Without any second thoughts I would always say it was the best Salon and best straightening I ever got!

My experience at salon 121 was indeed a great one. I was first referred here by a friend of my mothers. Glad I made the call and setup the appointment with Ms Indya Lowe. She was verrry accomodating in every aspect to make sure I was comfortable. She answered all questions that I had and offered me advice. Everyone here in fact was warm and welcoming. No attitudes/arrogance. The overall atmosphere of the salon is smooth, modern and inviting. I most definitely will be making another appointment soon and I recommend to everyone. Try it out for yourself. Although I was here for about 5 hours, I was happy she squeezed me in...and
I left the salon with a fresh new cut and I have gotten plenty of compliments since!

Had to pay $35 extra for the hair cut cause of long hair, then $26 more for the dye job even though I cut up short on top of the amount paid for the deal, so much for the $145 value stated. Terrible terrible terrible! The worst job ever!

Awful !

Was not sure what to do as far as my cut. I don't normally get my hair done. Decided to give Salon 121 a try. So glad I did. When I walked into the salon, I was welcomed with open arms. Michael Lambert, my excellent stylist gave me a great cut, that was perfect for me. My son said it made me look younger. Thanks Michael. Cynthia

Relaxed and Cut
Pros: This was my first time a Salon 121 the owner was friendly and knowledgable.. My hair was silky and flowing. Shop was clean and inviting.

Cons: Despite showing up early my appointment took 3 hours. The prices are a little high side. Once I went home and unwrapped my hair. My cut was uneven in several places and had to be corrected. :-( still super silky though.

Would I go again: Yes, I'll give it another try.

I've been to Indya a few times now. She was very understanding and gave me good advice on how to take care of my hair. I felt like she was knowledgeable and actually cared about growing your hair back unlike some salons I've been to. You might have to get it cut short to start your hair back but you will see a difference! All of the other clients that are there when I go are pleasant(not full of drama) and sometimes have good stories to tell while you're getting your hair done. I would strongly recommend their services.

I have been a client of Indya’s for a while but decided to let my hair grow out and get braids. Well I took the braids out and was searching high and low for her. GUESS WHAT I found her !!!!! Salon 121 in Buckhead is FABULOUS. Indya is still on the top of her game. How can someone just be great all the time! The salon is beautiful; everyone in the salon can really style, cut, and color your hair. They are great with long-short-natural hair. My hair is short once again but I must tell you since I’ve gotten it done I have received nothing but complements. If you do not believe me, go see for yourself. You will be completely satisfied.

I had a wonderful experience at Salon 121!! The salon was visually attractive, neat, and clean. The staff was warm, friendly, and inviting. Indya, my stylist took fantastic care of me!! She went out of her way to make me feel relaxed and comfortable….not to mention my hair came out fabulous!! She definitely has my repeat business!

I've been coming to Indya for a while and I have nothing but positive things to say. I am so glad I found a sylist that cares about my hair and providing excellent service. Salon 121 is Fabulous!! I love the vibe and contemporary style ,Indya and her staff are sooooo friendly and made feel like family. Indya is my stylist and she has given me a cut and color that's to die for !!! I love, love my new look ,  I'm turning heads everwhere!!! If you want to look fierce and receive 5 star service Salon 121 is where it's at!!!!

I've been to Indya a handful of times now and each time has been consistent. With short hair it's hard to find someone that understands the look you are going for and how to maintain that cut. Indya gets it! Everyone at the Salon is helpful,kind and attentive. True Salon Feel!!

First let me say I have been looking for a place to take care of my hair for over 6 months. I was a bit skeptical about buying the Groupon. SOOOOOO glad I did. The young lady that answered the phone walked all the way around the complex to find me (I have no sense of direction).

Michael was the professional who did my hair. He welcomed me as if we had known each other for awhile. I felt instantly comfortable with him. Michael was very thorough when he 'inspected' my hair and offered suggestions that I couldn't refuse because of his knowledge and confidence with hair and hair types.

When washing my hair he talked me through each step he was taking and asked me questions that assured I was comfortable.

As I was sitting under a hood to hydrate my hair and Indya (owner) was extremely pleasant and offered me water, tea or coffee. I was surprised she asked 'cold or room temp' Most people don't ask this question.

Each area of the salon was comfortable and very welcoming. The music was relaxing and fit the ambiance of the salon.

The entire staff all seemed like a 'family' and worked well with each other. I even had a few good laughs.

I scheduled my appt for my next visit shortly before I left and I now believe I have finally found a place for all my hair care needs.

Salon 121 was a wonderful surprise found on Groupon. Michael and Indya provided outstanding customer service and the salon's atmosphere is upscale, professional and serene.

Definitely recommending to family and friends.
