LaRaine's was the most unbelievable bridal experience!! Michelle Gross was my consultant, she was wonderful, happy, and made me feel like the most special person in the world. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a princess. My group was sat in a private room with couches while myself, Michelle, and my mother went through the dresses. She gave us a tour and description of the dresses and then let us pick. She made a few picks of her own which were beautiful,
LaRaine's was my very first bridal experience ever. After leaving there around 11:30am I was fairly certain I knew which dress I wanted but I went ahead to my next two appointments which were awful! I called LaRaine's and asked if Michelle could see me again that same night to try on the dress I loved and they were more than accommodating. Michelle was just as sweet as she was in the morning and once I tried the dress back on ( which was her pick) I knew it was the one.
I highly recommend LaRaine's to any future bride and highly recommend Michelle!!! You will not regret the experience you have here and I am certain they make ever bride feel as special as they made me feel!

As a person in customer service, I try to give the best customer service as possible to all of my clients. It's only fair for me to expect this back from people in the customer service industry. Unfortunately, La Raine's Boutique doesn't have it. The experience in their store was horrible. Very rude and offensive! Not only did they not let my friend try out a particular bridesmaids dress, the person helping out pretty much told her that ""she will bust out the zipper of her dresses!""
This is something that should not be tolerated! Maybe they were not going to make as much on a bridesmaids dress compared to a wedding dress, so they decided to just treat my friend any which way they choose to.
We tried calling and complain to the owner, and maybe give them a chance to explain. But the owner never even called back! That's why the review is being done today.

I visited La Raine's Boutique one Sunday afternoon in January upon the recommendation of two close friends. My mother and sister went with me. La Raine was my bridal consultant. She was wonderful. She was very respectful of our budget. She never made us feel like we needed to go over budget. She asked all of the right questions, and pulled a nice selection of dresses for me to try. She had one dress in particular in mind for me, but I had my mind set on another dress. After an hour of trying on dresses that I had picked out, I asked to try on the dress that La Raine had picked for me, the dress she referred to as :the most beautiful dress in the world."" The moment I looked at myself in the mirror wearing that dress, I knew it was the dress I wanted to wear on my wedding day. La Raine was spot on in her pick for me. My experience at La Raine's was probably one of the most positive shopping experiences I've ever had (and not just dress shopping.) La Raine is as welcoming as she is knowledgeable. And she offers her guidance without being pushy. I will recommend La Raine's to any bride. P.S. La Raine's husband was also very kind to us as we filled out our paperwork. They're ""good people."" =)

I wanted to sincerely thank you both for the role you played in my wedding. Whether you know it or not, the experience I had at LaRaine's Boutique is one that I will cherish. So many of my friends have had such awful experiences when it comes to their wedding gowns and you all spoiled me. My dress was (and still is) perfect if you ask me. You bet I have recommended you to every girl I meet that is getting married. As promised, I have included some pictures of the big day. Some are cheesy fun photos, but I think you will get the full effect of the dress and how perfectly everything came together. Hope our paths cross soon, much love to you both.
What I loved about LaRaine’s boutique is LaRaine herself! She’s fabulous and bubbly and clearly loves what she does! She has a super cute super sweet little black and white puppy dog who hands out in the store. She has a wonderful staff—they were all so nice to me and seemed really genuine. And LaRaine’s fabulous charmer of a hubby who works at the front counter—what a great guy! Always smiling and giving complements to the brides to be. I really enjoyed shopping at LaRaine’s. I also love that they pressed my gown so well that I didn’t need to press it before my wedding. I wish I could get married again and again (to the same guy obviously) so I could go back and buy another fabulous dress…oh before I forget Raine’s dress selection is to die for! Most all of her gowns are very reasonably prices!
To La Raines, Unfortunately, they didn’t have the that dress, but my consultant Kim said they had plenty of others to check out. So she started showing me dresses and it turns out I bought the very 1st one I tried on out of about 20 or so; Kim is THE BEST! She’s very personable, bubbly, patient, & DOES NOT pressure you into buying just anything. They have dresses from all price ranges. I would recommend this shop to all of my friends!

I want to thank you so much for all that you did for me while I was dress shopping. Unfortunately I found ""the dress"" elsewhere, but you were such a pleasure to work with. I really appreciated how much you accommodated every crazy question and request that i had. I am definitely getting the word out to all my engaged friends to check out La Raines and make an appointment with you. In fact, Tanya my co-worker has since purchased a wedding dress from you all and she raves about you also! Thanks so much again!
Fabulous. Love LaRaine's! posted 12/23/2010
I cannot speak highly enough about LaRaine's. When I got engaged, my bridesmaids made appointments for me to try on dresses at a few places around Atlanta. LaRaine's was the first we visited in what was supposed to be a day spent at several stores. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like old friends and were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful selection of well-priced dresses. Jen was wonderful, helping me into all of the dresses and giving constructive -- and fun! -- feedback. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on, but, like any bride-to-be felt sure I needed to try more. After a lovely morning at LaRaine's, my group headed to another shop but we could not stop thinking about that first dress. We ended up cancelling the rest of my appointments, and though we did not have an afternoon appointment, the ladies at LaRaine's welcomed us back for a second try-on of the favorite dress. Of course I ended up getting that first dress. It was fabulously priced, looks about 100 times more expensive than it was, and I've received the most wonderful follow-up service from all of the gals at LaRaine's. When the dress came in from the manufacturer they worked with my travel schedule (I live in Ohio), have since been flexible about when I need to stop in for my fittings, and have provided great advice on undergarments, my veils, shoes, etc. LaRaine has years in the business, and it shows. I'm always shocked (and sad!) when I hear horror stories from brides about bad wedding dress experiences, because LaRaine's has been so pleasant to work with, truly everything I hoped for when I started the process of planning my wedding. If you are looking for a superb customer service experience, definitely stop by LaRaine's!
After shopping for wedding dresses at several other places, I decided to try La Raine's because I had driven by it a few times and loved it's location. I was blown away at how friendly their whole staff was! Not only did they take over 2.5 hours out of their day for me to try on dresses, but they let me try on whatever I wanted (even those few silly dresses your MOH and bridesmaids want you to try on for ""fun""). No other place would let me look at their selection of dresses and pick the ones I wanted- they always made me try on the ones they picked based on my description. I ended up with something totally different than what I originally wanted, and it helped that I picked it. Of course they made suggestions, but it was still the fact that I knew I could look at everything they had to offer. After finding my perfect dress, there was champagne for everyone! The ordering, fittings, and everything else went seamlessly! La Raine, the alterer, and my sales consultant were there for EVERY fitting and made me feel as though I was special, not just some other person that bought their dress at their store. I have recommended La Raine's to ALL of my friends, even out of towner's, and ALL have had a wonderful experience there!

I was cautiously optimistic about LaRaine's. I had read and heard positive and negative, but when I found the dress that I really liked there, I decided to go for it.
Pro: they do have one of the best selections - price and style - of most places in town.
Cons: (the list is long, hang on) 1.) While in for alterations, the seamstress Caron and LaRaine were pinning something in the front of the dress (as I was wearing it) and said, ""Oh, is that blood?"" Here's where that ""sorry"" word probably would have been nice. At least once. But no, instead I was told that it happens all the time to brides (the blood was right at my navel) and that it would be fine. There was a suggestion of putting a seam in to conceal the stain (there are no seams on the front exterior of my dress), blotting of peroxide, and a brown ring around from where the stain was. THough most of it did finally come out, it was still visible (but never apologized for).
2.) Alterations appointments. Hardly ever on time, canceled 1 minute before I arrived at the shop, made me feel as though I was in the wrong for asking for fabric to lie flat vs bunching up and making me look like I had fat rolls.
3.) LaRaine's ""pressing"" of the dress. Because of the cancelled alterations appointments and running late, I was told that the dress would need to be pressed and then hang overnight. I re-worked my schedule in leaving town with the dress to accommodate this. Because I did not have the time to unzip the garment bag, fully remove the dress and inspect, I did not notice at the shop the awful pressing job and the fact that there were two 4-inch long creases pressed into the fabric along the back train of the dress (which is supposed to be creaseless). I e-mailed the photo of the creases to the shop when I arrived at the wedding location, asking for something (even an apology would have been nice, as I know you'd have to pry any kind of refund out of their hands with a crowbar). Nothing. Crickets.
So, did I find the dress that I loved at LaRaine's? Yes. Was everything about the experience after that point pretty awful? Yes. Do I tell friends that they should not even support a business that cannot even apologize for their mistakes? Yes.

I'm really surprised by all of the recent bad reviews of LaRaines. I never write reviews of things, but I created an account just to say how much I enjoyed my time at this boutique. The staff was very friendly when I made my appointment, and when i got there the friendliness continued. My consultant, Jenn, sat down with me and asked about what I envisioned for my wedding and what kinds of things I liked. She then took me and my 2 bridesmaids upstairs to show us all of the collections. She was very knowledgeable about the designers and did a good job explaining what each collections' strengths were. She never once mentioned price or made me feel like there were dresses i couldn afford. She then let me pick out dresses I wanted to try, then based off of my selections, picked a few others she thought I would like. i was extremely inpressed with thier selection. It's the most extensive i've seen in a while.
I am a size 16 so i was worried i'd be embarrased wiggling in and out of sample sizes, but she made me feel totally comfortable, and did her best to pin the dresses on me so i could get the effect. She was patient and personable with me and my guests the entire time. In the end, i fell in love with 2 dresses. One was $1400 and the other was $6000. She never once made me feel like I couldn't afford such an expensive dress, nor did she try to push the pricier option on me. She told me which styles accented my shape best, and made a few veil suggestions.
After the appointment, she took my info again, and told me she would love to see me in again to try on the dress so my mother could see it. Jenn was a dream to work with! She was so sweet, and she got excited with me and my briedsmaid when i found styles I liked that looked good. LaRaines is a great store. Call for an appointment and request Jen. She is lovely! if the owner is a jerk as so many of you say (I havent met her) then seer clear of here if she's in, but dont pass up the store. It's awesome!

Not only did I find the dress of my dreams I really liked Sandy, the girl who helped me pick it out. I'm doing a destination wedding in St John, USVI and wanted something elegant but with simple lines to accent my height, I'm 5'9"" Sandy knew of a Cymeline dress that my Mom said was stunning and it was nice. My Mom cried, my best friend cried, we all cried. I found the dress thanks to Sandy, it was the best experience and fell below budget as well. A question came up about alterations and it so happens, all alterations are done in house by Caron from NYC, who has done quite a few fittings by the sound of it. I like that. The selection of gowns was impressive, if not a little overwhelming, but then we had Sandy to help us, even La Raine looked in to give her approval. Thank you. Cassidy

The list is too long to list :
- Lying about your choices
- Insulting the customer
- Never on time for appointment
- 9 appointments needed for fitting
- rude atttitude, knowing everything better than customer
Don't go there. You'll regret it.

I went here and found a dress that I loved and bought it. The staff there was actually very nice...until I met LaRaine. She was extremely pushy and talked over me the entire time. She did not listen to me at all. When the dress came in it arrived 2 sizes too small. I have never been a size four in my life, however, La Raine immediately started asking me what I have been eating to have gained so much weight. I was mortified. I explained to her that I have not gained any weight, that I had in fact lost weight since I had been running daily and dieting and she had the nerve to tell me that ""running increases your lung capacity, therefore making your ribcage bigger"". She also said ""women tend to eat what their husband eats when they get engaged, so maybe thats why you gained weight"". La Raine then insisted that I pay for the dress in full and then take the dress home with me. I was in such shock that I left in tears with the dress in hand. After a few days I called her and asked if there was anyway that she could just order me a new dress, that I KNOW i did not gain 2 inches in 3 months. She refused. She kept talking on top of me and would not even listen. She wouldnt even give me a discount on alterations or work with me at all to correct the situation. At one point she even said ""Jennifer! What do you WANT?!"" and all I could say was...I want to be happy about my wedding dress. I ended up having to take the dress to a different alterations place since I didn't want to give her a penny more of my money. They were able to take it out an inch since it was all lace and I basically had to starve myself into the dress. Having worked as a retail manager for ten years, I could not believe the horrific customer service, especially when dealing with something as special as someone's wedding dress. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else, or if you do shop here, ask if you can deal with one of her other staff members, who all seem to be very nice.

I called and spoke with the store twice regarding a specific dress and a designer and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The girl on the phone was lovely, but when I arrived no one else was. I had to explain to two different associates 3 times each that I already had an appointment. I left after 10 minutes because they were so rude and I was offended. I knew they did not have the dress I wanted but wanted to see similar ones. Neither of the asso. would shut up long enough for me to even explain what I wanted to see. They actually would not shut up long enough to gather their thoughts and make coherent sentences. Then before they even knew my name they told me I could not afford a dress from that designer. They asked if I was going to buy something, before I could tell them that was why I was here to look I was told I could not try anything on if not. How would I know if I wanted to buy something if they would not even show me anything. There are much nicer stores with associates who actually want to be helpful. Skip this one.

I just wanted to thank you so much for my dress it is more beautiful than I imagined. Laura, I don't know if you remember me, but I was the bride that ordered the Pattis style 9868, then I called back and asked you to hold up on the order, then I came back to look at it again with my girlfriend, because she had taken a picture at a bad angle. Well the dress could not have looked any better, after review, everyone agreed that the dress made me look stunning. My Mother was not able to visit Atlanta, but saw pictures of the dress you send via e-mail and agreed it is beautiful. You made the experience so comfortable from start to finish and I recommend La Raine's Bridal to all my friends and acquaintances. Now am looking forward to the dress coming in and to try it on for the first time. Thank you to Laura and everybody at La Raine's
